Crypto assets with proof of stake consensus models and others that offer staking and reward functions are increasingly popular with traditional cross over investors. Similarities with equities including payouts (dividends) and delegated voting (shareholder proxy votes) are also well known and well regulated globally making them a familiar construct with existing precedent. Also similar can be the large concentrated holders who often wield an asymmetric imbalance of power over governance and reward distribution.
